Urgent Update on Saeed:
It is truly heartbreaking to know that one day after I spoke in front of our congress Saeed was beaten by fellow prisoners. Saeed’s father was not able to see Saeed last week because of a holiday in Iran, but today he was truly shaken to learn of the beating that Saeed had endured. Saeed’s father was also treated horribly and harassed by the prison guards and staff and could only visit Saeed for a short time…
As I shared in front of our congress last week, the Iranian government might turn up the heat in the furnace (as in Daniel 3), but Saeed refuses to deny his faith in Jesus Christ and continues to be a witness in that dark prison. Jesus is with Saeed in that fiery furnace. Saeed wants you to know that he has felt your prayers in his darkest moments. Thank you.
Please continue to keep our family in your prayers during this very difficult time.
God Bless.
Naghmeh

Dear friends,
[Here] is a recent article by the American Center for Law and Justice describing the latest beating that Saeed has had to endure. It is crucial to speak out for Saeed as we approach the June 30th deadline between the United States and Iran (it is also Saeed and I’s 11th year anniversary!).
Over 959,000 have signed a petition for Pastor Saeed’s freedom. We are trying to reach 1 million signatures. Please ask share and ask someone who has never signed to sign this petition and be a voice for Saeed. Thank you!

Naghmeh spoke to congress at the Foreign Relations committee hearing, June 2nd, on behalf of Saeed.
Along with Naghmeh, others have spoken up:
Daniel Levinson spoke on behalf of his father Robert Levinson, a former FBI agent missing in Iran for 8 years.
Sarah Hekmati spoke on behalf of her brother Amir Hekmati. Amir, a former Marine born in the US, went to visit his grandmother in Iran in 2011 and has been held ever since.
Ali Rezaian spoke on behalf of his brother Jason Rezaian. Jason is an American-Iranian journalist employed as The Washington Post bureau chief in Tehran, Iran. He has been in custody in Iran since July 22 2014
After hearing testimony from the four families, U.S. lawmakers passed a resolution calling on Iran to release three jailed Americans and provide information about a former FBI agent who disappeared in Iran in 2007.
As the June 30 deadline for a nuclear deal with Iran approaches, the families say it’s time for the U.S. to push hard on this issue.
I applauded Naghmeh for using the opportunity at the hearing, to not only speak on behalf of her husband Saeed, but to also be a witness for Jesus Christ. Well done!
