The Fatherhood of God

June 28, 2015 By Alesia Cengia

What is the fatherhood of God?

On Father’s Day we were privileged to attend a wonderful sermon by Pastor Alistair Begg at Parkside Church. One of the questions answered by Pastor Begg related to whether all people could be considered children of God. This question was one which came up in a previous post Commonly Held Bible Myths. What does it really mean to be a child of God? What are the implications of having God as our Father? Listen to Pastor Begg as he expounds God’s word.

Introduction to the video:

How do we understand the fatherhood of God? Alistair Begg poses four questions as he helps us consider what it means to be children of God. While every person is a product of God’s handiwork, not all are members of His spiritual family. Those who know God as their Father receive a new identity and are freed from the sinful nature into which we were born.
