Saeed Abedini (born 7 May 1980) is an Iranian American Christian pastor imprisoned in Iran. He has been detained in Iran since the summer of 2012 and initially incarcerated in Evin Prison in September 2012. On January 27, 2013, he was sentenced to eight years in prison, reportedly on charges of undermining national security through private religious gatherings in Christian homes in Iran in the early 2000s. In November 2013, the Iranian government transferred Abedini to Rajai Shahr prison, just outside of Karaj, Iran.
Amir Mirza Hekmati (born July 27, 1983) is a former United States Marine who was arrested for allegedly spying for the CIA in Iran. On 9 January 2012, he was sentenced to death on account of the charges. On 5 March 2012, the Iranian Supreme Court overturned the death sentence, and ordered a retrial. The judges had found the verdict against Hekmati was “not complete” and referred his case to an affiliate court. According to media reports, Hekmati is still in prison awaiting a retrial.
Jason Rezaian (born March 15, 1976) is an American-Iranian journalist currently employed as The Washington Post bureau chief in Tehran, Iran. On July 22, 2014, Iranian authorities raided the Tehran residence of Rezaian and his wife, Yeganeh Salehi, and took the couple into custody. While Salehi – who is also a journalist – was released on October 6, Rezaian remains in custody at Evin Prison, a detention center in Tehran known for housing political prisoners and intellectuals. After nine months of speculation, it was made public on April 20, 2015 that Iranian authorities have indicted Rezaian on four charges, including espionage and “propaganda against the establishment.” Rezaian’s trial began on May 26, 2015.
Robert Alan “Bob” Levinson (born March 10, 1948) is an American private investigator and retired DEA and FBI agent. He was taken hostage on March 9, 2007 when visiting Iran’s Kish Island while supposedly researching a cigarette smuggling case. U.S. officials believe Levinson, kidnapped exactly two weeks before the 2007 Iranian seizure of Royal Navy personnel, “was arrested by Iranian intelligence officials to be interrogated and used as a bargaining chip in negotiations with Washington”. On December 12, 2013 the Associated Press reported that an investigation they led revealed that Levinson was working for the CIA. The US has stated that he was not an employee of the government at the time of his capture.

Todd Starnes:
Tuesday President Obama betrayed Israel and the American people.
It was a deal made out of either sheer ignorance — or out of more nefarious reasons. Who in their right mind would negotiate in good faith with an enemy who wants to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth and whose citizens are marching in the streets shouting death to America?
Lost in this diplomatic debacle is the fate of four Americans held hostage by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
One of those men is Saeed Abedini — an Idaho pastor — thrown in prison because of his Christian faith. For nearly three years he has been tortured at the hands of his Muslim captors. President Obama promised Pastor Saeed’s family that his release would be a top priority — but his words were meaningless.
So now Pastor Abedini’s wife is turning to Congress — pleading with our elected leaders to save her husband’s life.
“I plead with Congress to ensure that my husband, an American citizen, is not left behind,” Naghmeh Abedini said.
“Congress holds the key to bringing my husband home, to returning the father to my children,” she said. “My children have desperately missed the loving embrace of their father for the last three years of their lives. They have grown up almost half of their lives without their father. Please help us ensure the remainder of their childhood includes both a mother and a father.” [Read Full Story]

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
When you are willing to make an agreement at any cost, this is the result. From the initial reports we can already conclude that this agreement is an historic mistake for the world.
Far-reaching concessions have been made in all areas that were supposed to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons capability. In addition, Iran will receive hundreds of billions of dollars with which it can fuel its terror machine and its expansion and aggression throughout the Middle East and across the globe.
One cannot prevent an agreement when the negotiators are willing to make more and more concessions to those who, even during the talks, keep chanting: ‘Death to America.’
We knew very well that the desire to sign an agreement was stronger than anything, and therefore we did not commit to preventing an agreement.
We did commit to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and this commitment still stands.
and
The bottom line of this very bad deal is exactly what Iran’s President Rouhani said today: “The international community is removing the sanctions and Iran is keeping its nuclear program.”
By not dismantling Iran’s nuclear program, in a decade this deal will give an unreformed, unrepentant and far richer terrorist regime the capacity to produce many nuclear bombs, in fact an entire nuclear arsenal with the means to deliver it. What a stunning historic mistake!
