A Few Good Blogs: After leaving the New Age, I came across an article by Mal Couch which provided some helpful links. Of course there were other helpful guides. Most of these pointed me in the right direction and impressed upon me the value of referring people to solid sources for God’s word.
With that in mind, my objective here is to provide links to blogs which I’ve personally found profitable.
Spirit & Truth
While not strictly a blog, Tony Garland’s website, Spirit & Truth was recommended by Couch. In turn it led me to other excellent sources such as Paul Henebury’s work (see directly below). You may subscribe to Tony’s Newsletter. See our featured ministry page. Tony has written one of the best commentaries on Revelation, which can be read free on the website.
Paul Henebury (Dr. Reluctant)
Paul runs Telos Theological Ministries, and blogs as Dr. Reluctant. He rarely misses a week posting an article or a book review. He is an independent “dispensational” thinker well versed in Covenant Theology, and able to engage it; yet not afraid to challenge some dispensational tenets.
Veritas et Lux
Veritas et Lux (Truth and Light) is owned by Dr. David Steele. There you will find a plethora of Christian book reviews and articles. Not all the reviews are positive, while some serve as warnings. The Search Engine feature can be used to check if David has reviewed a particular book you might be interested in reading.
The Domain for Truth
The Domain for Truth is hosted by Jim Lee and is updated daily. It is an enormous repository for Christian apologetics articles and book reviews, as well as other resources. Note the Links, Resources and Blog Roll on the right.
the Cripplegate
the Cripplegate is updated almost weekly. The writers are graduates of The Master’s Seminary. And the articles range from theology to church and current cultural issues etc.
The Friends of Israel
The name “Friends of Israel” speaks for itself. Renald Showers was involved with this organization before he went to be with the Lord. His son, Jim, is the President. For an example of what to expect from FOI, see the germane article “Why Does the World Hate Israel?”
Biblical Science Institute
The Biblical Science Institute is owned by Dr. David Lisle. According to his bio,
