I’ve seen this time and time again – people that know what it is like to have almost nothing, and do not hesitate to share what little they have with others in need. The homeless, because they have precious little, are not weighed down (physically or emotionally) by material “stuff”. They intimately know basic needs and have learned the lesson of generosity and empathy for others. This should be a lesson to us all.
God’s Word tells us we are to feed the poor, and clothe the naked and we are not to ignore them. God loves all his children, and wants all of us to love and help each other.
Matthew 25:40 ″The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (NIV)
