When Jesus triumphantly rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the crowds who waved palm branches and excitedly exclaimed “Hosanna in the highest” were soon shouting “crucify Him” five days later on Good Friday. They wanted a King to deliver them from Rome, not a suffering Savior who would hang on a cross. Jesus Christ came to earth for one reason–to die for sin, mine and yours–that we might be forgiven and saved from an eternity in hell. We’re all sinners in need of a Savior. – Franklin Graham
