Time and time again, persecuted Christians say that what they need most are your prayers.

Threatened by IS in Jerusalem

The Christian community in Jerusalem asks for your prayers. Last Thursday, Christians in Jerusalem were threatened by a group calling itself the “Islamic State in Palestine.” Leaflets marked with the black flag insignia of the Islamic State gave a chilling warning: Christians who fail to leave Jerusalem by July 18th, the end of Ramadan, may be killed.

They ask you to pray on their behalf for godly wisdom, peace and protection from the Islamic State.

A Message from North Korea

The underground church in North Korea sends the following to you:

“We are so thankful for the support we’ve received from our brothers and sisters around the world. We want to thank them and ask them to pray for our underground churches and believers. We will remember your deep love and support in our heart.”

Boko Haram Bombings in Chad

On Monday, another six suicide bombers detonated themselves during a police raid in N’djamena, the capital of Chad. Five police officers were killed, and there were no civilian casualties. This attack follows twin suicide bombings on June 15th, which killed 34 people. All of the attacks are being attributed to terrorist group Boko Haram, which pledged loyalty to the Islamic State group in March.

In the midst of the tragedy, there is good news: Chadian security forces have arrested a prominent Boko Haram leader, responsible for the group’s operations in Chad and North Cameroon.

Join us in praising God for the arrest, as well as the fact that no civilians were killed in the latest bombing. Continue to pray for those who lost their loved ones in the June 15th attacks, and for God to soften the hearts of Boko Haram militants with the light of the gospel, all for His glory.
