Today is Resurrection Sunday – This is the day of The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christ’s resurrection is the sealing of His promise to all who place their faith in Him.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 1 Cor 15:3-5
For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 1 Cor 15:21-22
Jerry Bridges wrote an article on the resurrection during Christmas. Why would he do that? He notes that there are four intrinsic events in Christ’s life which cannot be separated. According to Bridges:

There are at least four major truths about the resurrection that teach us about its absolute necessity…read the article
John MacArthur observes:
The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is the provision that guarantees for us that we need not be risen to eternal damnation but can be risen to eternal life. The resurrection of Jesus Christ bodily from death and the grave is a pledge and a promise to all who believe in Him will also be raised in bodily form to enter in to the eternal bliss and joy of the heaven of heavens in the presence of God everlastingly, serving, worshiping and being completely satisfied…keep reading
Joseph Scheumann writes:
The resurrection of Jesus is foundational to the Christian faith, and yet, oftentimes, we only give it real thought around the Easter season.
But the resurrection of Jesus is so important that Paul writes, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17). And later he says, “If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied” (verse 19).
In the hopes of gaining a deeper understanding of this glorious reality, here are five truths [one more than Bridges] about the resurrection…keep reading
