When Google banned a dissenting article during “Pride Month: written by Pastor Dan Phillips, the article originally appeared in the Pyromaniacs blog. Almost as soon as it was posted, it was removed by Blogger.
After about seven years without a post, I posted a copy of a letter I sent to the congregation I serve in Houston, Texas. I wanted to help parents talk with their children about the ubiquitous “Pride Month” intrusions. Then I followed up with a sermon. But someone flagged it to Blogger, where it was ruled that my post was “Hate Speech.” Their definition: “content that promotes or condones violence against or has the primary purpose of inciting hatred against an individual or group on the basis of their …sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or any other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization.” This, of a post that literally says “we don’t hate people who want bad things…. We love people who don’t know Jesus…” But today, to believe in the actual Jesus is to be called a “hater.” You will find my letter posted elsewhere, unedited. ~ Dan Phillips
PJ Media picked up the incident in an article titled, “Google Doesn’t Want You to See This Letter From a Christian Pastor About Pride Month.” And soon the very article Google Blogger tried to quash was hosted on several other sites. Perhaps there’s a lesson that one can legitimately push back against Techno Tyranny.
The “offensive” article
We all wish we could shelter our children from the harmful and corrupt elements of our God-hating culture. Apart from living under a rock, this is becoming increasingly impossible. The homosexual-and-much-more agenda has increasingly intruded itself into every area of American life, from the media to sports to department stores to fast food restaurants and coffee shops.
I am writing to try to help you talk to your children. I’ll write it as one side of a conversation. Use any part that helps you address matters that arise in your children’s world…continue reading.

Scripture
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. Rom 1:24-27
But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:5-7
But Christians ought to neither hate nor affirm homosexuals. Listen to a 54 second snippet of Alistair Begg’s sermon on Jude HERE
